Arusha Safari Lodge (previously known as Safari Spa) is a wonderful old private residence converted to a lodge in huge gardens. This is a luxury haven with only 7 cottages and 2 rooms in the main house, all very spacious with lovely views. The gardens have spectacular views of both Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru.
All cottages have views of the swimming pool and lush gardens and are furnished with Zanzibar beds with mosquito nets. All 9 rooms have en-suite bathrooms, with shower, hand basin and toilet. They are supplied with towels and toiletries.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals can also be enjoyed outdoors on the bar terrace. There is a summer house for afternoon tea and sundowner drinks. Indoors there is a cosy lounge with an open fire.
Hotel facilities include a tennis court, a fitness centre with a fully equipped gym, s spa with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and massage facilities. You are welcome to wander around the tropical gardens, spotting birds and monkeys, and go for a refreshing swim in the pool.
Open: Arusha Safari Lodge is open all year.
Location: Arusha Safari Lodge has extensive grounds on a hillside just 4kms from Arusha town. Both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru can be seen from the lodge.
Rooms: There are 9 rooms. These comprise 7 cottages near the pool and 2 spacious rooms in the main building. All guest accommodation has en-suite facilities with a shower, toilet, hand basin, soap and shampoo. Towels and bottled water are provided.
Activities: You can visit Arusha, take day trips to Arusha National Park, Lake Manyara and Tarangire. At the hotel you can sunbathe and then cool off in the swimming pool, stroll in the pretty gardens looking for birds and monkeys and enjoy a game of tennis. If you want to treat yourself, you can indulge in a massage or sauna.
Facilities: The hotel has a restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mush of the produce is grown in the vegetable garden on site. There is a bar with a terrace, so you can enjoy drinks and snacks in the open air. You can take afternoon tea and sundowners in the summerhouse. There is a wood burner so you can sit here in the evening, too. The hotel has lovely tropical gardens, a swimming pool and a tennis court. The spa offers massage and has a sauna, steam bath and Jacuzzi. There is a gym.
Dining: Meals are eaten at separate tables.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome.
Health: This is a low risk malaria area.
Communication: There is free Wi-Fi internet access in the restaurant.
