Winchester Mansions is an elegant Cape Dutch building on Cape Town's Sea Point Promenade. Located near both the V & A Waterfront and some lovely beaches, this hotel makes a great base from which to explore the city and the surrounding area. The 76 guest rooms and suites are all spacious and attractively furnished with either classic or modern decor. Each is equipped with TV, 'phone, internet access, safe, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi and air conditioning. All have ensuite bathrooms. The guest lounge is an opulently furnished room where guests can relax in comfort. Outside there is a heated swimming pool and sun deck with loungers and sunshades.
Harvey's Restuarant serves contemporary South African cuisine with a European twist. Meals can be eaten in the lovely courtyard, floodlit at night, or indoors. The terrace, with its views of the Atlantic Ocean, is the perfect spot to enjoy a sundowner.
For those wanting to spoil themselves, a visit to the Gingko Health and Wellness Spa is a must. The staff here offer a wide range of treatments and therapies including hydrotherapy, massage and facials. There is also a heated pool and sun deck at the hotel.
As well as city sightseeing, guests here can enjoy a variety of activities including swimming (in the sea or the Olympic size pool along the promenade), sailing, paragliding, golf and horse riding. There is a complimentary shuttle service to the Waterfront.

Location: The hotel is situated on Sea Point's Promenade, 20 minutes from the airport and less than 10 minutes from the V&A Waterfront and Cape Town City Centre.
Rooms: There are 76 rooms and suites. All have flat screen TVs with international channels, telephone, WiFi, safe, mini bar, tea and coffee tray, air conditioning and bathrobes. There are 33 Classic Rooms with traditional style furniture and non sea-facing rooms. 15 Modern Classic Rooms are also non sea-facing and have loft style bedrooms and contemporary decor. 12 Winchester Suites, some with sea views, have a large bedroom and separate lounge area with traditional decor. Modern Winchester Suites have an open-plan lounge and bedroom area with contemporary finishes. The 5 Colonial Suites are larger, some with sea views. They have a smaller second bedroom and a separate lounge area. The 2 Balcony Suites are sea facing and have loft-style open plan bedroom lounge areas. That leaves the Robben Island Suite and the Presidential Harvey Suite, both spacious.
Activities: Visit the many shops, restaurants and entertainment centres of the V&A Waterfront, go sightseeing in the city. Reception staff can arrange various excursions in and around the city.
Facilities: Winchester Mansions has a guest lounge and also a business centre with WiFi. WiFi is available throughout the hotel. Harveys Restaurant offers contemporary South African Cuisine. The Courtyard and terraces are also suitable venues for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Harveys Bar serves an excellent selection of beers, wines and spirits and there is also a wine cellar with lounge area. The Gingko Health and Wellness Spa offers a full range of treatments and there is a heated pool and sundeck. Baby sitting services are available. There's a souvenir shop and a complimentary shuttle service to and from the V&A Waterfront.
Dining: Meals are eaten at individual tables in the restaurant. A Jazz brunch takes place every Sunday.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Babysitting can be arranged on request. There is a children’s menu.
