Welgelegen Guest House is located in the cosmopolitan neighbourhood of Gardens, beneath Table Mountain. It is made up of 2 Victorian houses linked by a patio and floral gardens. Decor throughout the guest house is understated and elegant, giving a real 'home from home' feel.
Guests' rooms are well equipped with air conditioning, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, TV and internet access. All have en-suite bathrooms supplied with a range of toiletries. Towelling robes, home made biscuits and port are also on hand for guests. Most rooms have balconies with views of Table Mountain, Signal Hill or the courtyard.
Continental or cooked breakfasts are enjoyed in the dining room or outdoors in the welcoming, sunny courtyard. After a busy day in the city come home to a drink from the bar and relax in the living room with its inviting sofas.
Other facilities include a plunge pool in the courtyard and an in-house treatment offering a range of services including massage, aromatherapy, manicure and pedicure.
'Welgelegen' means well located. The secluded location gives an atmosphere of calm and relaxation while just a short stroll away are the attractions of Long and Kloof Streets, known for their trendy bistros, restaurants and boutiques. The guests house is also well placed for visiting the city centre, Table Mountain and the coast.

Location: Welgelegen Guest House is in Cape Town, at the foot of Table Mountain near Kloof Street. There are many good restaurants and bars nearby and major sites such as the cable car, V & A Waterfront and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are about a 15 minute drive away.
Rooms: There are 13 en-suite rooms with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, minibar, satellite TV and phone. Staff bring hot water bottles on chilly nights. The bathroom is stocked with a comprehensive range of toiletries. Home-made biscuits are provided on arrival.
Activities: Sightseeing and shopping in Cape Town. The staff at Welgelegen are happy to advise on and arrange excursions and visits, so that you can experience more that the usual visitor to the city gets to see. These can be cultural, artistic, musical or culinary.
Facilities: There is a sitting room, a library, bar and a breakfast room. The last opens on to a courtyard, with a plunge pool and sunloungers. Breakfast is a generous buffet and includes cooked dishes. Welgelegen does not provide lunch or dinner but there are many restaurants nearby. There is an in-house therapy room offering a number of treatments including massages and manicures.
