This exclusive lodge is set in a private game reserve in the west of Sabi Sand Reserve. This is a Big 5 area with wildlife roaming freely between Kruger National Park and the private reserves, and at Dulini you'll have twice daily game drives (morning and afternoon) and guided walks to help you make the most of your stay.
The main lodge has a welcoming lounge with ample seating, coffee tables, colourful rugs and a large open fire. There's a library of book for you to look through at your leisure, and a terrace where you can beneath the shade of trees. There's also a viewing deck, facing the dry riverbed where you can see a range of animals, a swimming pool and a gym.
Meals are served in the boma and on the terrace. They are generally eaten as a group, a good opportunity to swap traveller's tales and experiences. Private candlelit bush dinners can be arranged on request.
The 6 identical suites are spacious and lavishly equipped. Bedroom have plenty of storage space plus a sitting area and writing desk, and are cooled by both ceiling fans and air conditioning. Bathrooms have classic claw-foot bathtubs, rain showers and double vanity units, complimented by an outdoor shower. Each suite's private deck overlooks the riverbed, and has comfy chairs and a plunge pool for secluded relaxation.

Location: The lodge is on Dulini Private Game Reserve in the western part of Sabi Sand Game Reserve which is part of the Greater Kruger National Park. The lodge is by the Mabrak riverbed among leadwood and ebony trees. The closest airstrip is at Uliusaba, a 30 minute drive away. The lodge can also be reached by road from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (2 hours), and Skukuza airport (1 hour 20 minutes).
Rooms: There are 6 large suites with stone walls and thatched roofs, all air conditioned and with ceiling fans. Each has a mosquito net-draped bed, wardrobe, comfy chairs and table, writing desk, fireplace, safe, hairdryer, minibar and Nespresso machine, a modern bathroom with a roll-top bath, rain shower, twin hand basins and selection of toiletries. There is a separate toilet. The river-facing private deck has easy chairs, an outdoor shower and a heated plunge pool.
Activities There are early morning and late afternoon safaris in open 4x4 vehicles in the private game reserve with a ranger and a tracker each day. There are stops for drinks and snacks. Camera stands and binoculars are provided. Guided bush walks are also offered, and this is a good area for birdwatching.
Facilities: The main lodge is a welcoming building with a large fireplaces, deep armchairs, sofas, coffee tables and rugs. There are reference books to browse through. The room leads out to a terrace with sunny and shaded areas where you can watch passing wildlife. Meals are served in the boma by the fire, indoors in the lapa and out on this terrace. There is an outdoor swimming pool, a viewing deck, gym and a shop selling safari items and souvenirs, and massages can be arranged in the privacy of your suite. The lodge offers a free laundry service.
Dining: Most meals are served communally though private dining can be arranged. The lodge has an extensive collection of South African wines to compliment the food.
Children: Children aged 8 years and older are welcome. Triple rooms are available on request If booking the lodge for exclusive use there is no minimum child age.
Health: This is a malarial area.
