This luxury lodge and restaurant is located overlooking False Bay on the way to the Cape Peninsula in Simons Town. It has spectacular views and is just 70 metres from the world famous penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
There are courtyard rooms, upper deck suites with sea views and family suites. There are also two self catering units. All rooms are stylish and comfortably fitted with wrought iron beds and en-suite bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities. The restaurant offers wonderful food from a talented chef with Pacific Rim Cuisine and has a terrace with views across the water to False Bay.
The penguins live in the Boulders Coastal Park which is part of the Table Mountain National Park and one of the few sites where these fascinating birds can be seen close up without interferance of their habitat. The penguins do sometimes even walk around the lodge and the restaurant!
"The rooms were very basic and we were all a tad concerned regarding the security aspect here. Staff (afternoon/evening shift) were not helpful and really couldn't be bothered with guests. Morning staff were more helpful. Would NOT recommend."
