MV Aqua is a new Amazon cruise boat, built in 2007 and operated by Aqua Expeditions. She is 130 feet long and accommodates 24 passengers in spacious staterooms. Days are spent exploring the river and its wildlife, relaxing on board and enjoying the delicious food and fine wines. The crew of 18 ensure your comfort and enjoyment.
MV Aqua has 12 roomy staterooms of between 230 and 240 square feet. All have twin/double beds, a seating area and ensuite facilities with shower, toilet, basin, hardryer and complementary toiletries. All starerooms have large panoramic windows and are fully air conditioned.
The social areas of the boat include the dining room, the bar with an extensive selection of drinks, the shaded outdoor lounge and the observation deck. There is also a small boutique. Meals are a highlight and the menus have been designed by a well-known Peruvian chef to make the most of the local, fresh ingredients. Lunch is a generous buffet, with a daily theme and dinner is an a la carte meal, complemented by fine South American wines. There is also a children's menu.
MV Aqua has 3 motor launches used for exploring the various inlets and river systems and 3 English-speaking naturalist guides to accompany guests. Days are spent exploring by launch and on foot on the river sytems and in Pacaya Samiria Reserve, which covers some 5 million acres and is home to vast numbers of wildlfe and marine animals including the pink Amazon dolphin, black caiman and 3 toed sloth.
MA Aqua is based in Iquitos, a 90 minute flight from Lima. She operates year round and offers 3, 4 and 7 night itineraries.
An unforgettable Peruvian Amazon riverboat cruise.
