Las Casitas is a luxury hotel perched high above the world-famous Colca Canyon. The location is prefect for outdoor pursuits with opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and horse riding, as well as enjoying the stunning views and watching condors soar overhead.
Accommodation is provided by 20 individual casitas (bungalows), each offering ample room to rest and relax. They are furnished to high quality, and each has a beautiful marble bathroom with both shower and bath plus an indulgent outdoor shower. Every casita has a private terrace with a heated plunge pool, overlooking either the well-tended gardens or the Colca Valley. Wi-Fi is complimentary.
Curina Restaurant serves tasty Pervian and Andean cuisine, using the freshest of ingredients grown in the hotel's organic vegetable garden and on the farm, which you can enjoy indoors or out on the expansive terrace as you take in the mountain views. The bar provides a welcoming environment in which to unwind and get to know other guests, and there's a library for quieter moments.
Recreational facilities include a superb spa with single and double treatment rooms, a lounge and outdoor pool, in a tranquil setting reached through a fragrant eucalyptus grove. It's the place to come after a day spend outdoors, to ease away any aches and pains and treat your body to some expert ministrations. The main pool has been designed to blend into its surroundings and offer you views of the Andean terraces as you swim.
During you stay you are welcome to walk around the organic garden and farm, as well as venturing further afield, and staff are availble to help you get the most from your stay.

Open: Belmond Las Casitas, formerly known as Casitas del Colca, is open all year.
Location: Las Casitas is high above Colca Canyon in a quiet rural setting. The hotel is 166kms, about a 3-hour drive, from Arequipa airport.
Rooms: There are 20 guest bungalows or casitas arranged in the grounds. They are made up of 3 garden view, 16 valley view and 1 presidential casita. The garden and valley view rooms occupy 120sqm (80sqm of indoor space), have a lobby, lounge, bedroom, marble bathroom with a bath and shower and heated floor, separate outdoor shower, a terrace and heated plunge pool. The presidential casita also has a dining room, open fire in the lounge, large terrace and heated pool. All casitas benefit from free Wi-Fi, hairdryer and safe. There are no TVs though a set can be provided on request for watching DVDs.
Activities: Visit Colca Canyon, watch condors, see pre-Inca rice terraces and Inca archaeological sites, explore the hotel’s farm and organic vegetable garden, go trekking, cycling and horse riding, and visit local villages. Bird watching, fishing in the hotel’s trout pond, cooking lessons and yoga classes are possible. Hotel staff are available to help you plan your stay and arrange visits and activities.
Facilities: The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (more details below). Puccq’io Bar (open 10am till 10pm) serves tempting cocktails and other drinks. The hotel has an outdoor rim-flow swimming pool. Samay Spa has a full menu of treatments and is open from 6am till 9pm daily. The library is ideal for some reading or using the computer to access the internet.
Dining: Curina Restaurant specialises in Peruvian and local cuisine, and uses fresh produce from the organic garden and farm. It is open from 6am till 09:30am, 12pm to 3pm and 6pm till 10pm each day. Meals are eaten at individual tables inside the restaurant and outside on the terrace.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Two of the casitas have a shared lobby and can be used as family accommodation.
Health: Colca Valley is not a malarial area.
Communication: There is free Wi-Fi in guest casitas and the library.
