The Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado lies in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and is the perfect way to start or end a trip to Machu Picchu. Therapists use local plants, herbs and herb extracts for facials, wraps and massages. Reiki and reflexology are also offered. There is a large indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, a steam room and a sauna, an outdoor swimming pool. Yoga classes are offered on the riverbank.
Accommodation is rooms, suites and private villas. The rooms and suites have en-suite bathrooms, outdoor terraces, telephone and iPod dock (iPods are available for you to borrow during your stay). They are furnished in traditional Peruvian style. The 2 villas can each accommodate up to 6 guests and are located in the flower garden at the river's edge. Accommodation includes 3 large bedrooms, bathrooms, dining room, living room and kitchen. A housekeeper is available on request to prepare meals.
El Huerto Restuarant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It uses ingredients from the hotel's own organic garden. Meals are served indoors and outdoors on the attractive terrace, El Jardin. El Bar del Huerto is situated a stone's throw from the Urubamba River and offers a wide choice of drinks and refreshments, which can be enjoyed in the bar itself or outside in the gardens.

Location: Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado is in the Sacred Valley by the Urubamba River and a 5 minute drive from Urubamba town. Ollantaytambo train station is 15 minutes way, and Cusco airport is about a 90 minute drive.
Rooms: There are 10 rooms, 11 suites, and 2 villas. The 10 deluxe terrace rooms (42sqm) have 2 twin beds or 1 queen or king bed, and a private terrace. The 11 garden junior suites (92sqm) have queen or king beds and a private terrace and garden. All are en-suite with rain showers, heated marble floors and hairdryers. The bedrooms are equipped with IDD phone, minibar, free Wi-Fi and broadband and iPod dock. TVs and DVD players are available on request. Each 2-storey villa can accommodate up to 6 guests. Villa Orquidea (330sqm) has 3 bedrooms (2 twins and 1 double), 3 bathrooms, a studio, living room with a fireplace, dining room, kitchen, al fresco dining area and outdoor terrace. Villa Capull (220sqm) has 3 bedrooms (2 twins and 1 double), 3 bathrooms, a living room with fireplace, dining room and kitchen.
Activities: The following are available locally: guided tours in the valley to villages and markets, tours of the hotel gardens, exploring by bike or on horseback, coca leaf reading. Mask painting is available for children.
Facilities: The main restaurant, El Huerto, is open for breakfast lunch and dinner and has indoor and outdoor areas, while El Jardin serves al fresco lunches by the river. There are 2 bars, one by the restaurant and the other by the pool. Spa Mayu Wilka offers a broad range of treatments including massages, facials and reflexology. Facilities include an Inca shower, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. The hotel is set in lovely gardens and has an organic vegetable and fruit garden. There’s a heated outdoor swimming pool and sundeck, with towels, robes and drinks available from 10am till 5pm. Room service is available from 6am till 11pm each day. The hotel offers a laundry service (pay locally). Golf carts are available for transport around the hotel grounds and to rooms.
Dining: Meals are based on Peruvian cuisine. You can select your own ingredients from the vegetable garden if you wish. Meals are eaten at individual tables.
