Casa Andina Premium Puno

Cusco & the Andes

Rating: Mid-range

Casa Andina Premium Puno overview

Casa Andina Premium Puno, previously known as Casa Andina Private Collection Puno, enjoys a wonderful location on the shores of Lake Titicaca, some 3,800 metres above sea level. The hotel has been built using local materials including wood, stone and clay tiles.

The hotel restaurant has floor to ceiling windows with stunning views out over the lake and is well positioned for spectacular sunsets, too. It serves both regional dishes including fish from the lake, and international cuisine. A generous breakfast buffet including sweet and savoury items as well as cooked eggs, is provided each morning and is included in your stay. The two fireplaces, one in the restaurant and the other in the bar, add to the cosy atmosphere.

There is a large, sunny terrace and the extensive gardens offer great views of the lake and mountains. The hotel also has its own pier just a few metres from the main building, from where you can embark on a cruise or take a canoe tour of Lake Titicaca.

Mrs Julie Clouth

"Breakfast very chaotic, again due to shortage of staff. Tables not cleared and reset, so nowhere to sit. Problems seem to be due to large tour groups almost taking over parts of the hotel at different times."

Mr Garry Simpson
"Again food was really good"
Jo and Mike Bassett
"Lovely lakeside hotel. Our spacious bedroom had two huge beds and views over the lake. The restaurant was excellent for evening meals, but poorly staffed for breakfast at 7.00 am."
Mr Graham Kidd
"Excellent location, nice rooms."
Jane Lines
"This was a luxury hotel. although the showers weren't very good and when we arrived back from the homestay at about 3 o clock two of the rooms weren't ready. This hotel didn't have the same feeling of warm friendliness of the Andina Plaza, Cusco"
