5 days from £560pp plus international flights.
Experience the ultimate adrenalin rush as you plunge through fast-flowing rapids down a steep-sided gorge near the source of the mighty Amazon River! The Apurimac Canyon, some 3,000 metres deep, is made for adventure. Camping on the riverbank and dining beneath the stars adds an extra dimension to this action-packed holiday.
You'll be in a remote part of Peru, a region very few visitors are privileged to see. You'll observe dramatic scenery, not just during the rafting trip but also on your way from and to Cusco, passing through soaring mountain ranges. There's wildlife, too, so when you're not negotiating rapids you can keep an eye out for Andean foxes, otters and pumas.
Camp will be set up each evening in a specially selected location, as you rest after your exertions and look back on the thrills of the day. The small of freshly-cooked food will soon be wafting through the air and you'll be served a wonderfully tasty dinner, well-earned. After all the excitement and exertion, sleep will come easily and you'll wake refreshed, ready for the adventures to come.
Your safety is, of course, paramount, and our partners are highly experienced in arranging rafting trips. They use the highest quality equipment and have the best guides, so although this is adventure you'll be in the safest hands. Best of all, it's FUN!
