Toubkal Trekking Lodge offers very comfortable accommodation in the dramatic setting of the High Atlas Mountains. It's in the village of Ait Aissa in the Azzaden Valley, about a half day's trek from the Kasbah du Toubkal.
The lodge has 4 guest rooms, each with ensuite bathroom with bath, shower, basin and toilet. There is a lovely lounge with picture windows and music system. Meals are served in the attractive dining area and picnic lunches can be provided for guests taking full day hikes from the lodge. The lodge is kept warm by solar-powered underfloor heating and there is a wood burning stove in the lounge.
Outside there is a lovely terrace, where guests can enjoy mint tea while admiring the views of the snow-capped Toubkal Massif. The lodge has been built in traditional style, to blend in with the environment and local village buildings. Inside, local wood has been used for ceilings, doors and furniture.
The lodge is owned and run by the owners of the Kasbah du Toubkal in Imlil and stays at the two properties can easily be combined. The lodge is a pleasant half or full day (depending on route taken) trek from the kasbah. Alternatively it can be reached by 4x4 vehicles from Imlil. Guests staying here can enjoy a range of treks and circular rouites, taking in the beautiful scenery and local Berber villages, as well as simply relaxing in the comfort of the lodge, enjoying the delicious food and admiring the wonderful mountain views.
