Location: The Kasbah is in the desert village of Skoura, near the oasis and in sight of the High Atlas Mountains. It is 40 kilometres from the town of Ouarzazate.
Rooms: There are 12 guest rooms and suites. The 2 smallest rooms are 16sqm, 3 cover 30sqm and can accommodate up to 3 people, there is 40sqm suite and 3 measuring 50sqm, all of which can sleep up to 4 people. All have en-suite bathrooms and are air conditioned. Bedrooms overlook the Atlas Mountains, oasis, desert or gardens.
Activities: You can explore the village of Skoura, go horse riding, take 4 wheel drive trips into the oasis, visit local kasbahs and take tea with locals. Hotel staff can arrange trips to nearby Dades and Todra Gorges, Fint Oasis and the impressive sand dunes at Merzouga. You can also be drive to Ouarzazate to see its kasbahs and film studios and visit the cinema museum.
Facilities: The restaurant serves a hearty breakfast each morning, with much of the produce (bread, jams, crepes), made on site. Dinners have a distinctly French feel – the Kasbah is owned by a French couple – with several courses and wines to accompany the food. There’s a lounge with a TV, bar, outdoor pool measuring 12 x 5 metres, and a small shallow pool for children. You can enjoy a game of table tennis or try your hand at petanque, stroll in the garden and there are bikes you can hire to explore the area.
Dining: Meals are eaten at individual tables in the restaurant, the courtyard or by the pool.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Some rooms can accommodate a 3rd person and suites can take up to 4. The hotel can supply cribs.
Communication: There is free Wi-Fi internet access in the communal areas and guest rooms.
