This is the perfect 'away from it all' holiday. Your very own Indian Ocean island paradise!
Whether escaping the British winter, winding down after a busy safari or simply treating yourself to a week of tropical sun, this is the holiday for you. We've chosen a small, boutique hotel on the north coast of the island set on a secluded beach.
The hotel offers a wide range of water sports and activities as well as a spa and no fewer than 3 dining locations serving a combination of Mauritian and international cuisine. Choose to be as active, or not, as you wish. You'll enjoy the laid back atmosphere and exotic Mauritian charms.
This is the ideal way to spoil yourself and emerge relaxed and re-energised after your week in paradise.
On arrival at Mauritius airport you will be met and transferred to the north coast of the island and your boutique hotel, the lovely 20 Degrees South. This will be your home for the next week. Relax after your flight, settle in and enjoy the lovely views. Later this evening enjoy a delightful meal in the hotel's main restaurant. Dinner.
Enjoy our first full day at 20 Degres Sud with its small secluded beach, perfectly sheltered on the banks of a beautiful turquoise lagoon. Split your time between the two swimming pools, and lazing beneath the coconut palms. The hotel has plenty of cosy nooks where you can idle away a little time, relaxing and simply unwinding, far removed for your normal everyday life. There are plenty of complimentary water activities on offer including snorkelling, kayaking, sailing and glass-bottom boats. Away from the beach you can take a bicycle to explore or visit the spa for beauty and massage treatments. Breakfast & dinner.
As well as the on-site facilities, there is plenty to see and do in the local area. Grand Baie, just 3 km away, can be reached by shuttle or canoe. Here you'll find plenty of bars, restaurants, boutiques and casinos. Also within easy reach are Pamplemousse Gardens and Sugar World, an interactive museum built in the decommissioned sugar factory of Beau-Plan, a must for lovers of the historical and cultural aspects of Mauritius. Breakfast and dinner.
Four further days of relaxation and activity in whatever combination you wish! You may chose to sunbathe on the secluded private beach, take a stroll or cool off with a swim in one of the pools and perhaps indulge in a spa treatment or Turkish bath. When it comes to eating, your taste buds are in for a treat as the expert chef prepares a fusion of local and international dishes. Perhaps you might opt for a romantic evening meal on the M/S Lady Lisbeth as you cruise in the bay. Relax and enjoy your beautiful island getaway. Breakfast and dinner.
Sadly it's time to pack your bags. After breakfast you will be transferred back to the airport in time to check-in for your flight home. Breakfast.
