Accommodation is in generously proportioned rooms and suites, all of which have en-suite bathrooms and individual balconies or terraces with views of the pool, gardens or ocean. Some are interconnecting, so are ideal for families. All are air conditioned, have a sitting area, TV, minibar and free high speed internet access. There are also several double storey villas with their own gardens and swimming pools, providing discrete seclusion.

Location: Belle Mare Plage is on a km sandy beach on the east coast of Mauritius. The resort covers 15 acres. It is 50kms, about an hour’s drive, from the airport.
Rooms: All rooms are en-suite and have a private balcony or terrace. Mod cons include air conditioning, TV, internet access, telephone, minibar and safe. There are 92 prestige rooms, some of which are interconnecting, 137 junior suites, 6 deluxe suites, 20 private villas with their own pools and 1 presidential villa with 3 bedrooms, a private pool and garden.
Activities: Lots of watersports are available free to guests including snorkelling, kayaing, windsurfing, waterskiing, sailing and glass-bottom boat trips. For an extra charge guests can go diving, parasailing and deep sea fishing. On land there are 2 18-hole golf courses just behind the hotel, 4 tennis courts, table tennis, bowling and a 9-hole mini golf course. Guests can explore the 15 acres of tropical gardens at their leisure and bikes can be rented for wider exploration. Hotel staff can arrange land and sea excursions. Those interested in cookery can take part in classes run by the chef.
Facilities: There are 4 swimming pools with sun lounges and sunshades. One of the pools is heated in the winter. On site boutiques sell beachwear and accessories, toiletries, spices, jewellery and souvenirs. The 7 restaurants serve a wide range of cuisines and range from formal to casual in style. They include 2 beachside restaurants and a gastronomic restaurant offering haute cuisine. The 5 bars are located at different locations in the complex and include a swim-up bar at one of the pools. The hotel has 2 spas, a sauna, steam room, 2 jacuzzis and a gym. Several fitness classes are offered to guests. There is a guest lounge with TV and free internet access. The hotel offers a laundry service.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. There is a children’s club for those aged 4 to 12 and special meals can be arranged for children. Babysitting can be arranged, payable locally.
