Andrea Lodge has a beautiful setting in lush vegetation on the south coast of Mauritius, with stunning views from the clifftop to the beach and sea. There are 10 chalets, all sea-facing, which provide simple but comfortable accommodation and are attractively furnished. All have ceiling fans, mosquito nets, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite shower room. Each chalet has a private terrace where guests can sit and admire the views and soak up the tranquillity of the location.
There are various activities available, including guided clifftop walks through the protected deer park, excursions to local sites of interest such as waterfalls and beaches, mountain biking and horse riding. Alternatively guests can relax in the lovely gardens and swim in the pool.
Meals are taken in the dining area with its thatched roof. At breakfast there is a choice of full English or continental fare. An a la carte menu operates at lunchtime and picnic lunches can be arranged for those away from the lodge. Dinner is a set 3-course meal.

Location: Andrea Lodge is in the south of Mauritius, near the town of Souillac. It is at the top of the cliffs and from the lodge there are views of the Anguilles River Gorge and the Indian Ocean. The lodge is an area of lush vegetation and sugar cane fields.
Rooms: There are 10 wooden cabins with large picture windows. Each has a bedroom, sitting area, en-suite shower room and a veranda. Some of the cabins are air conditioned. The others have fans. They have tea and coffee making facilities.
Activities: Andrea Lodge is a good base for exploring inland Mauritius. Activities include hiking, guided walks in Combo Forest, mountain biking, jeep safaris in the mountains and swimming beneath a waterfall. Lodge staff can arrange boat cruises and beach visits.
Facilities: This is a good place to sample Mauritian cuisine. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. The chef is happy to chat about dinner dishes at breakfast and can prepare personalised meals. Lunch can be provided on request. If you’re going to be out all day you can arrange a picnic hamper, which needs to be ordered the previous evening. There is a swimming pool with views of the ocean. Massage and other spa treatments can be arranged on request.
Dining: Meals are eaten at individual tables.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child. Cots are available.
Health: This is a non-malarial area.
Communication: There is no internet access.
Notes: There is a minimum stay requirement of 3 nights.
