Heuglin's Lodge is named after the brightly coloured Heuglin's Robin found in the gardens. This peaceful location in Lilongwe's quiet northern suburbs makes the perfect beginning or end to your stay in Malawi. The lodge is a lovely big house, originally a private residence, which has been renovated and converted into a guest lodge. It's set in large verdant gardens, home to varied bird life, where you'll also find the swimming pool.
There are ten en-suite bedrooms, each with satellite TV and a Wi-Fi connection. The rooms are elegantly decorated and light, each one is individual. They are made up as twins, doubles and singles, with a mosquito net draped over the bed, to help ensure a good night's sleep.
Excellent chefs produce plentiful home cooked food from local ingredients which you can enjoy in the eclectic dining room. There's also a lounge where you can relax with a book from the extensive wildlife library and an honesty bar.

0"I actually lived at Heuglin's for a month or so when I went to work in Malawi, so I know it well! It's a home from home set up with lovely food and hosting, very personal and it's in a quiet suburb on the airport side of town, so ideal for first or last night stops."
