This hotel is located in Antsirabe and has lovely gardens stocked with a wide variety of plants including the owners' take on the famous Jardins Majorelle of Marrakech complete with pools and fountains, an Asian garden and a wild Madagascan garden. Look out for chameleons and tortoises! This is a good place to break the journey from Tana to Ramanofana and enjoy the tranquil ambience.
There are twin, double, triple and family bungalows. all rooms are clean and comfortable and have views of the gorgeous gardens. They all have private shower rooms with hot and cold running water.
The cosy wooden-floored restaurant serves delicious food which you can accompany with drinks from the bar. There's a lounge where you can relax, chat to guests and catch up on some reading and check up on emails using the free Wi-Fi. The continental breakfast is usually served on the pretty terrace, and includes freshly baked bread.

Location: Les Chambres du Voyageur is just off the main N7 road near the train station in the city of Antsirabe, near the train station. The city is around a 3 hour drive (170kms) south of the capital, Antananarivo.
Rooms: There are 8 bungalows including twins, doubles and triples, and 2 family houses, all named after local flowers. They are traditional in style, built of local materials, simply decorated, and have heating for chilly weather. All have an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water, a shower, basin and flush toilet.
Activities: Go sightseeing in Antsirabe, with its old villas, wide avenues and thermal baths. Take a ride in a pousse pousse (rickshaw).
Facilities: The hotel lounge-bar has a TV and Wi-Fi internet access. The gardens cover 6,000 square metres and are planted with local trees, flowers and shrubs, and include pretty ponds and themed areas such as the Jardin Majorelle. Birds, butterflies, dragonflies, tortoises and chameleons can be seen here.

"The French owner and his Malagasy wife have rather a passion for gardening! The rooms are in amongst this profusion of plantlife. This can make them a little dark, but they are clean and comfortable. The restaurant offers very good food."
