Le Jardin du Roy is perfectly placed for visiting Isalo National Park in the south of Madagascar, one of the most popular parks in the country. The hotel is built of local materials including granite, marble and rosewood and provides attractive accommodation.
Rooms are grouped in several buildings in the private grounds. All are air conditioned and have an attached bathroom or shower room plus a terrace or balcony. Ground floor rooms have French doors opening onto the gardens and upper floor rooms have balconies.
There's a large dining room where you can enjoy tasty meals. The central open fire is the focal point on cooler days and evenings. You can relax with a drink in the bar as you socialise with other guests, maybe enjoying a game of pool.
Facilities include a large open air swimming pool, tennis and boules courts. The gardens are ideal for leisurely strolls. If you want to venture further afield, the hotel has links with a local riding club so can arrange horse rides for guests, whether beginners or experienced riders. Guided walks in the national park are also available. Pampering is available at Jardin du Roy in the form massages, body scrubs, wraps and facials which make use of aromatic Malagasy essential oils, which leave you refreshed and revitalised.

0"This is a good quality hotel, but the atmosphere of a large English country estate in the middle of Madagascar rather threw me! All the elements are well done though, and I'm sure guests would have a comfortable stay here. It is particularly good for anyone who likes horse riding as they have their own stable."
