Eden Lodge has a tranquil location on Baobab Beach, a remote setting reached by boat from Nosy Be or Ankify. Accommodation is in large en-suite tented lodges set on wooden decks and shaded by large thatched roofs. There are just 8 of these and the lodge has 8 hectares of grounds, so space and privacy are assured. While relaxing at your lodge you can enjoy sea views from the front deck or unwind with a massage on the secluded rear terrace.
The beach has loungers and sunshades where time passes easily. You can go swimming, snorkelling and windsurfing, or opt to explore by kayak or small sailing catamaran. Scuba diving can be arranged through a local PADI dive centre. The extensive grounds contain no fewer that 12 baobab trees, and are ideal for strolls, with or without a guide, and there are good chances of seeing lemurs, birds and chameleons. The lodge offers boat trips departing in the morning and taking in scenic spots and fishing villages, and it's possible to take a trip with local fishermen and go exploring in a traditional dugout canoe.
The main lodge building is open plan and houses the lounge, bar and restaurant. It's open to the front so you can enjoy views of the turquoise ocean as you spend time relaxing, reading and eating. The cuisine is a mix of Malagasy and French, using only local produce, with a buffet breakfast in the morning, and a choice of dishes for lunch and dinner each day.
