Constance Tsarabanjina is on a beautiful private island in the Mitsio archipelago with 3 perfect white sandy beaches. In this gorgeous location you are free to do as much or as little as you like. The beaches are ideal for strollng, as is the sea for swimming and snorkelling. If you want a little more excitement there's a reef where you can dive, and the hotel has small sailing boats you can use to exdplore on your own. Alternatively let someone else take the helm as you voyage to neighbouring islands or rnjoy a fishing trip. Back on Tsarabanjina there are walking trails leading into the forests and up hills to wonderful views. Walks, with or without a guide, give you the chance to admire the scenery and look for chameleons and birds, such as tropicbirds, fish eagles and flycatchers, the last used in the hotel's logo. You may also come across the tomb of the Sakalava king of the Mitsio islands, a sacred place still venerated by local people today.
You stay in a spacious, en-suite villa crafted from wood and thatch. These are simple in style, with no TV or telephone to detract from the beauty and serenity of your surroundings. Help yourself to a cup of tea or coffee or select a drink from the minibar and saunter out to the deck to enjoy views of the beach and ocean. A short walk brings you to the main building where there's a lounge, bar and restaurant, all facing the sea. Other facilities include a gift shop, library, a massage room and free Wi-Fi internet access. The overall atmosphere is pleasantly laid back, the service discreet, and Constance Tsarabanjina is the epitome of barefoot luxury.

Location: Constance Tsarabanjina is on 86-acre Tsarabanjina island in the Mitsio archipelago, 60kms from Nosy Be. This is a private island, so guests have exclusive access. The resort can be reached by speedboat (1 hour) and helicopter from Nosy Be, which has flights from Antananarivo.
Rooms: There are 25 villas, 12 on the south beach and 13 on the north beach. Built of wood and thatch, they provide 27sqm of self-contained accommodation complete with 4-poster beds, a sitting area, polished timber floors and sliding glass doors that open to a private deck with 2 chairs and a table. Each has a large bathroom and a separate toilet. Those on south beach have air conditioned bedrooms and those on north beach are air conditioned throughout. Villas are almost identical in layout and all have fans, safe, minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. Each villa has 2 loungers and 1 sunshade on the beach. Villas are named after flowers, trees and fish.
Activities: Morning aquagym classes provide a healthy start to the day. You can go swimming and snorkelling in the sea, and relax on the beach. There is a PADI dive centre offering courses, dives tailored to beginners and more advanced divers. You can follow walking trails around the island both along the coast and inland though forests and up hills. Boat trips to nearby islands can be arranged, as can fishing trips, and kayaks and sailing catamarans are available for guests to use with training given if wanted. There are facilities for beach tennis, petanque, a volleyball court and a tennis court.
Facilities: The main lodge is open fronted and houses the lounge, restaurant and bar, arranged over 2 levels. There are 3 beaches: north, south and bar beach. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the bar is open from 07:00 till the last guest retires to bed. It serves snacks as well as hot and cold drinks. There is a library next to the bar with a selection of books and games. The boutique stocks clothes and artworks as well as practical items such as sun screen. The resort has a massage room on the beach, with an outside shower. There is a laundry service. The hotel has its own helipad.
Dining: Meals are served at individual tables. Breakfast (07:30 till 10:00) and lunch (13:00-14:30) are buffets, while dinner, served from 20:00, is a 3-course meal. Private meals can be organised on the beach at additional cost.
Children: Children aged 4 years and upwards are welcome. There are no activities specifically for children. Babysitting can be arranged on request.
Health: This is a malarial area.
