A room with heart

Pinewood is a very eco-friendly resort that supports and maintains the local community at large, including providing free water, prioritising employment for locals and buying local produce such as fish. They raise funds for a nearby eye clinic and have a trust fund to help school and feed the local children. They are also on the front line in the fight against child labour and sex tourism. Their efforts as regards conserving natural resources and not polluting the environment are to be applauded, and they also protect wildlife in their vicinity, such as colobus monkeys. This is quite a small lodge but it has a big heart.

Mrs. Pamela Walshe

"I was enchanted with the hotel. The pictures really don't do it justice. The rooms are extremely large and comfortable, the food is excellent and plentiful. The decor is charming and the furniture is made from wood in its j natural state. If you want a quite, luxurious, lazy holiday, this is the place. Fabulous beaches, great water activities and teeming with monkeys."

Ted Ledger
"Friendly staff, nice food and a lovely spot to relax and enjoy.Beautiful beach"
Alan Sweetman
"We spent the first week of our honeymoon at Pinewood Village and they couldn't do enough for us. From sleeping under a tree to watching the monkeys with cocktails in the pool everything was perfect. Do remember to close your balcony doors even if you pop to the bathroom or the monkeys will have your sugars! The beach was lovely and the diving even better. There's a very good dive centre next to the hotel which we couldn't recommend more highly."
Mr. Phillip Mansley
"A lovely setting, an attractively designed and spacious compound, We did not use the spa but enjoyed the pool and - until it became too hot - walking up and down the seemingly endless stretch of beach . The buffet meals were good and imaginative. A pity that to stop the monkeys getting in we had to keep all windows and doors closed and the A/C on continuously. But there is nothing anyone can do about that! Despite that, we were really sorry when the time came to leave this hotel."
Mr. Christopher Van Vliet
"Had all the small touches that makes you feel special, the staff here were fantastic nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very comfotavle. We were very lucky as the hotel was very quiet."
