Set in 9 hectares of lush greenery, Tuli Tiger Resort is situated near the Ganghar river in the western region of Kanha's buffer zone. It is about a 5-minute drive from Kanha National Park's main gate.
The accommodation consists of 26 air-conditioned rooms, clustered in separate village style cottages. These are very smart and well furnished and have an almost Mediterranean feel to them. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting areas, offering you a choice of places to unwind. The outdoor veranda is a wonderful to place to uniwnd as you watch birds in the trees and listen to their song.
Meals are served at The Connoisseur restaurant, and include a lavish 4-course dinner. Open air barbecues are also offered on occasion. At the spa you can take your pick of treatments including massages, body scrubs, hydro- and aromatherapy, and time-honoured Ayurveda therapies, all delivered in a restful setting that aids total relaxation.
Your days at Tuli Tiger Resort generally revolve around wildlife viewing in Kanha National Park. You rise early to join the morning drive, which includes a picnic breakfast within the reserve. Kanha's best known inhabitants are the tigers and they are the undoubted star attraction, but you may also see nilgai, sambar and spotted deer, sloth bears, langur monkeys and leopards. You return to the resort for lunch and a rest, before setting off in the mid afternoon for the second safari. "Tuli Tiger Resort though was also lovely - more luxurious with a nice pool and very impressive chairs everywhere! Great staff and the fact that we had the same naturalist guide, Shail Kumar Gop, throughout the stay was nice as we quickly became friends. The picnic breakfasts in the game park were a highlight as our guide found some rather nice secluded spots to eat them!"
