Taj Coromandel

Kerala & South India

Rating: Deluxe

Taj Coromandel overview

A prestigious city centre hotel which has been welcoming guests since 1974,Taj Coromandel is a well-known landmark in Chennai. Its location is convenient both for shops and for the airport. The hotel has an impressive range of facilities, as you'd expect of a hotel of this calibre, including 4 restaurants, a luxury spa, outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and boutique.

Rooms come with TV, DVD player, free Wi-Fi internet access, minibar, hot drinks maker, safe, en-suite bathroom, bathrobes and slippers as standard. Suites provide even greater space with a sitting room and dressing area, a home theatre entertainment system and discreet butler service.

Between them the restaurants offer South Indian, Chinese, Italian and multi-cuisine dining, to satisfy all tastes and palates. Afternoon tea is something of an institution at Taj Coromandel, and sitting down to elegant sweet and savoury bites accompanied by your choice of tea of coffee, or, if pushing the boat out, Champagne, served in the tea lounge is an experience not to be missed.

Jiva Grande Spa is the perfect place to indulge in some pampering in the form of a head-to-toe treatment, Ayurvedic therapy, reflexology, cleansing sauna or calming yoga session. Alternatively you can opt to take it easy on a lounger by the sparkling outdoor pool, unwinding after some busy sightseeing.
