Khem Villas is a charming jungle camp established by Usha and Goverdhan Singh Rathore, along with Pritam Singh, on the outskirts of Ranthambhore. Goverdhan is the son of Fateh Singh Rathore one of India''s leading Tiger experts. Khem Villas is a quiet, tranquil camp designed to balance simplicity with sophistications and at Tribes we feel they have got the balance just right.
The camp is spread over 10 acres and it is common to see jackals, jungle cats, hyenas, desert fox, hares etc. within the camp. As it is close to the park you can sometimes see pugmarks of leopards, tigers and bears that have passed by and, if you are lucky, you may even see them near the camp. This is also a bird watchers paradise.
There are three different types of accommodation. Each of the thatched, air conditioned cottages has a spacious bedroom, large bathroom, an open to sky private plunge pool with an outdoor shower. They also have a private courtyard and veranda. The tents are set on wooden platforms and have en-suite bathrooms. The rooms at Khem Villas are in the main building. They are air conditioned, spacious and have en-suite bathrooms. Upstairs rooms have large bay windows looking out over the fields.
Food is freshly cooked using mainly home grown vegetables. You will be offered a mix of Indian, Western and Oriental cuisines providing rich flavours to suite every taste.

"Amazing place - highly recommended. The views and the countryside surrounding the area was fantastic. In the evening, dining and bar areas were lit by candles which really gave this place a touch of something special. Rich in Tiger welfare and conservation."
