Evolve Back Coorg is in a private estate of about 120 hectares with spice and coffee plantations in the hills of the Western Ghats. It's a great place to rest away from India's busy towns and cities and shows you a different aspect of the country. While here you are encouraged to immerse yourself in the life of the estate, touring the plantations and finding out about the work that goes on behind the scenes, even lending a hand if you wish! Guided forest walks, bird watching, village visits, a trip to Bylekuppe Tibetan monastery and coracle rides on the river complete the activity line-up, giving you plenty to fill your days.
The villas provide secluded accommodation where you can fancy yourself a planter of yesteryear. Refined interiors with tiled floors and beamed ceilings offer both style and space, and each has a private courtyard complete with a pretty lily pool. Modern amenities are not forgotten and you have air conditioning, TV, a fridge and kettle.
Communal facilities include a beautiful infinity pool, family pool and a lounge set on stlits with views of fields and estate land. It's easy to pass the time among these different places, making the most of the calm setting and discreet service. The spa specialises in Ayurveda therapies, designed to boost body, mind and soul and leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
The hotels three restaurants serve a variety of cuisines and styles of food, all in atmospheric settings, letting you sample haute vegetarian cuisine, tasty grills and flavoursome local dishes.
