Silberstein Hotel is in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz island. This is the largest town in the archipelago and is the site of the Charles Darwin Research Station where you can learn about the geology and history of the islands. The hotel is family-owned and run and staff are friendly and helpful.
The hotel has a library where you can borrow or swap books, a pretty garden where you may spot Galapagos Finches and an outdoor swimming pool.
There are 24 guest rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms with hot water, ceiling fans and air conditioning. The restaurant serves Ecuadorian and international cuisine and you can also dine in the open air cafe.
There is a dive centre on site offering PADI courses and daily tours to the best local dive sites. It is also possible to go kayaking in the bay and to explore inland by mountain bike and walk through lava tunnels. Puerto Ayora has a selection of shops and restaurants, all within walking distance of the hotel.

You can take daily diving tours from the on-site dive centre, which also runs PADI courses. The facilities of Puerto Ayora include shops, restaurants and banks. Day trips to nearby islands run from the harbour.
