Eric and Letty overview
Eric and Letty are identical motor yachts built in the early 1990s. They accommodate up to 20 passengers each in 10 outside cabins spread over 3 decks, with window or porthole views. Each cabin has either a double bed or 2 twin beds and all have ensuite bathroom with hot water shower. The cabins have individual climate control.
There is a dining room where Ecuadorian and international dishes are enjoyed, a well-stocked bar and a lounge. The last incorporates a conference area with flat screen TV, DVD player and library. The interiors are of polished teak wood with shiny brass fittings. Picture windows on the upper two decks offer panoramic views. Outside is a spacious sundeck equipped with comfortable sun loungers. The boats carry snorkelling equipment, wet suits and kayaks for guest use.
We regard these yachts very highly, as they have obtained the 'Smart Voyager' certificate for excellence in conservation and environmental responsibility, and they are small yet have two very good naturalist guides on board.

Rainforest and Galapagos
15 days from £4355 pp
A wildlife adventure in two dramatically different environments. A true treat for nature lovers.
These Galapagos yachts have taken the trouble to adopt a program of environmental and social sustainability that is certified by the Smart Voyager initiative which was set up by Conservacion & Desarrollo with Rainforest Alliance. They have gone the extra mile to implement these strict standards in order to conserve the environment and wildlife of the Galapagos Islands, and also benefit the islands’ communities.

"The food was first rate, especially when you think about the small space they had to prepare it. I particularly liked the snacks that we were offered after each activity, plus the delicious fruit juices. The cabin was bijou so I would advise people to cut down on what they take. You really do live in shorts and T shirts."

"Letty, fabulous! Also food very very good. Everyone could not have been nicer or more helpful. Claudia, the steward was amazing! As we paid extra for cabin on Letty, was a little disappointed with it. We expected small and cosy and it was. Bed though was small and pushed in under slanted ceiling. This reduced bed size and meant waking each other if we wanted to get up!"

"Our cabin on Eric’s Dolphin deck was compact, but with adequate storage, a well-fitted bathroom, a roomy shower and windows all along one wall. Unlike some of our fellow guests we were not disturbed by noise from the engines, the anchor or the kitchens and, though the air-conditioning was not adjustable, our cabin temperature was not uncomfortable.
Public areas on the boat were tailored to the 20 guests without much space to spare except on the sundeck, a partly-shaded area with plenty of loungers and seats.
The captain and the crew were friendly, helpful and professional, the daily activities were well-organised, the food was excellent and the itinerary was planned so that we were able to see something new on every excursion

"As I am sure you will guess this was absolutely superb! The boat (flamingo) was just the right size. Food, crew and guides were all very good. Wildlife exceptional."
