"Easily the best food we had in the whole of Costa Rica. Breakfast was amazing. Very stylish hotel. Really enjoyed our stay."

Annie Mitchell
"Loved this hotel and we were given an upgrade on our room which was lovely after a long - very long - plane journey. The whole place is Victorian, colonial style and full of interesting features. We ate at the bar in the evening and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful, would have been happy to stay longer to explore San Jose."
Doctor Andrew Wood
"A beautiful, traditional Spanish colonial style hotel close to the centre of town - a very special place to stay for our first two nights. The restaurant is excellent too, so much so that we ate their both nights. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the housekeeping was of a very high standard. "
Mrs. Karen Roem
"Beautiful old mansion with excellent food! "
Mrs. Susan Richardson
"Excellent accommodation and service (great food), despite the above-mentioned problems with the city centre location."
