The eclectic architecture is an interesting fusion of Spanish, Moorish and medieval influences.
Rooms and suites are simply but stylishly decorated and have attractive black and white photographs of life in 1920s Costa Rica. All have private bathrooms and balconies.
La Luz restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, specialises in Mediterranean cuisine, using the freshest local produce to create exquisitely flavoured and presented dishes. Activities: Hotel staff can arrange excursions on request, for example to a local coffee plantation, to Arenal volcano and springs, and to Manuel Antonio National Park. You can go sightseeing and shopping in San Jose.
