Altiplanico Rapa Nui has a distinctive design. Guest accommodation is in individual free-standing rooms arranged in three clusters in the extensive grounds with walkways linking them to the central area. The gardens contain some small archaeological sites that you can view, a great introduction to the fascinating history and culture of the island.
Most of your waking time is taken up with exploring the island and its impressive archaeological sites, especially the famous moai that are found in many locations. Hotel staff help you arrange guided tours to different sites to soak up the unique Rapa Nui culture, exploring by vehicle, on foot, on horseback and by bike, visiting villages and beaches and watching displays of traditional dancing.
At the heart of the hotel there's an open-sided restaurant with superb views down to the coast and ocean, a bar and a lounge, ideal for socialising and unwinding, with WiFi available to help you stay in touch with the outside world. Outdoors as well as enjoying strolls through the garden you can cool off with a swim in the pool.
Each of the rooms is painted with one of the eye-catching designs found at sites on the island, and inside the white-walled high-ceilinged bedroom has a great feeling of space, and there's an en-suite bathroom thoughtfully supplied with toiletries. Furnishings have been kept to a minimum with the emphasis on clean lines and touches of colour added by throws and cushions. The glass doors to the front fill the room with light and lead out to a private sitting area where you can relax at your leisure.

0"This hotel is one of the top hotels on the island especially for the sunset view. The lodges were large with plenty of space however the condition of the accommodation required some TLC. Advised to use bottled water this was only available if purchased!"
