Ngapali Beach Extension

4 days from £195pp plus international flights.

There's no better way to end your holiday in Burma than spending a few days on a beautiful beach. Ngapali certainly fits the bill! White sand, clear blue sea and elegant palm trees combine to make a postcard-perfect scene.

We've included flights (from wherever your tour ends) and transfers, as well as three nights' accommodation on a bed and breakfast. Your beachfront hotel is set in lovely lush gardens and has a sunbathing deck and inviting outdoor pool, and more loungers on the beach overlooking the ocean. Freshly caught seafood features prominently in the menu, and you can watch the sun set over the Bay of Bengal as you sip a chilled glass of wine or beer. You can explore the area by bike or take a boat trip out to nearby islands, returning to treat yourself to a massage in the spa.

Enjoy a drink as the sun sets over the Bay of Bengal

Your beach extension starts with the domestic flight to Thandwe on the west coast. You'll be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel on Ngapali beach. It's time to relax after the busy sightseeing, take a stroll along the beach or enjoy a drink in the bar. Or both! Breakfast
Time to top up your tan

Nothing has been planned for today so you can do precisely as you please. Maybe enjoy a lie-in and a lazy, late breakfast, before ambling down to the pool or beach and soaking up some sun or catching up on some reading. If you want to explore you can go out on a boat or hire a bike and pedal along the coast. It's up to you! Breakfast

Another day of leisure at Ngapali beach. If you want some local colour why not head to the local market in Thandwe. It's open each day and is a great way to get a glimpse into local life. Predominantly a food market you'll see fresh fruit and vegetables, rice and noodles, fresh and dried fish, as well as some household items. After the excitement you'll welcome a quiet afternoon by the beach, and maybe a snooze… Why not toast your holiday with a cocktail or two - you're on holiday after all! Breakfast
Breakfast by the beach

After a final breakfast by the beach you'll travel back to Thandwe airport for the flight to Yangon. On arrival, time permitting, you'll visit White Elephant Park and Kyauk Taw Gyi pagoda. The white elephants symbolise peace and prosperity and were brought to this park to be protected. You'll then be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Breakfast
