Jasmine Palace Hotel overview

This modern, high rise hotel provides an impressive range of facilities and is well located for exploring the sites of Yangon, with Shwedagon Pagoda only 2 kilometres away and visible from the restaurant and many bedrooms.

You enter into the the welcoming and light double height atrium where reception staff are waiting to help you. From here you ascend to your room, which is kitted out with free wifi, flatscreen TV and en-suite bathroom with bathrobes and slippers provided. You can help yourself to a hot or cold drink as you relax and take in views of the city in the privacy of your own room. There's plenty of space to store clothes and baggage, and if you upgrade to a suite you'll have your own living room. 

The hotel is conveniently close to the main city sights, making exploring easy. When it comes to downtime you can enjoy a swim in the pool, opt for more vigorous exercise at the gym or indulge in therapeutic and beauty treatments at Jasmine Spa. Food lovers are well catered for. The top floor restaurant offers a choice of Asian and continental fare, while at Jasmine Garden you can sample tasty Chinese cuisine. The lobby cafe offers tea, coffee and snacks, and is a good place to indulge in afternoon tea.

Location: The hotel is located midway between the centre of Yangon and the international airport.

Rooms: There are over 200 guest rooms in five categories. Each has an en-suite bathroom, free wifi, TV, phone, tea and coffee maker, minibar, dressing gown and slippers. All apart from the superior rooms sleep up to three adults. Superior rooms are 32sqm, sleep up to two adults. Deluxe rooms provide 36sqm of space, premier rooms are 40sqm, family suites have a lounge-dining room and 64sqm of space, and jasmine suites are the largest rooms at 72sqm with a living room and dining area. Many rooms and suites have views of the famous Shwedagon Pagoda.

Activities: Sightseeing in Yangon, touring museums and galleries, shopping.

Facilities: The hotel has two restaurants, a cafe and a bar. There is a covered swimming pool, spa, and fitness room with a good range of equipment. The hotel provides a concierge service, money exchange, laundry and dry cleaning, payable locally.

Dining: Jasmine Garden is open daily for lunch and dinner and specialises in Chinese and Cantonese cuisines. Empress Restaurant on the top floor serves a combination of Western and Asian dishes and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Jasmine Cafe in the lobby provides hot drinks and cakes including afternoon tea.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome.

Health: There is only a low risk of malaria in Yangon.

Communication: There is free wifi internet access in rooms and communal areas.
