La Suite is owned by two French brothers. Francois manages La Suite, whilst Jacques manages La Maison in the Gavea district. La Suite offers exclusive accommodation in the Joatinga district (or ‘Brazilian Beverly Hills!’) of Rio de Janeiro and has a stunning ocean view.
There are 7 stylish rooms decorated in different colours including the black suite with large picture windows on two sides overlooking the ocean, forested hills and city. La Suite has a large lounge and ocean view deck with a small swimming pool. An infinity pool is planned for 2008. Breakfast can be served in the room or dining terrace, and lunch and dinner can be ordered from a menu devised by a well known French chef. It is a short drive down the hill (or walk!) to a semi private beach.

Location: La Suite is a small guest house located on the edge of Joatlinga’s cliffs, one of the most exclusive areas of Rio de Janeiro. It is in a secluded gated community.
Rooms: La Suite has 7 air conditioned guest suites, named after colours: black, white, purple, green, pink, yellow and blue. All suites have a private patio, a dressing room, ‘phone, iPod, safe, Wi-Fi and shower or bathroom.
Activities: Exploring the sites, shops and beaches of Rio, hiking in Tijuca Forest. At the guest house, guests can relax in the gardens, swim and enjoy drinks and meals on the terrace. The owner is happy to offer ideas for places to visit and eat.
Facilities: There are 2 swimming pools one of which is an infinity pool set in the gardens. There is a sundeck and a pool house. Drinks are served by the pool. The living room has 3 large bay windows with 180 degree views of the ocean. The library has a supply of art books, guide books and magazines for guests to read. There are tiered terraces. Meals are taken on the terrace overlooking the ocean or in the dining room. The cuisine is a blend of Brazilian and international. Lunch and dinner are offered on a request basis. Guests can request massage and manicure services. There is a private beach in walking distance.
Dining: Meals is taken at separate tables on the deck or on your own terrace.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Babysitting is available on request.
Health: Rio is
not a malarial area.
Communication: There is Wi-Fi internet access in each suite and there is a laptop in the living room for guests to use.
