Thamalakane River Lodge enjoys a restful setting by the river just a 20 minute drive from Maun. There are a number of excursions available or guests can chose to relax by the swimming pool or on their own patio, enjoying fine sunset views. The lodge's spa offers massages and manicures. Mingle with other guests in the bar and in the gin lounge with its global selection of spirits.
Accommodation is in comfortable stone chalets, all with private bathroom, ceiling fan, mosquito nets and tea and coffee making facilities. two bottles of mineral water are provided free of charge in each chalet daily. All have a patio overlooking the Thamalakane River with its plentiful bird life. There are two-bedroomed chalets with a lounge to accommodation families.
The restaurant is housed in a wood and thatch building and has an extensive menu and excellent wine list. There are views out to the river and beautiful sunsets can be seen while enjoying dinner. There's a large dining terrace, too, used for al fresco meals and dinners under the stars.
During the day the lodge provides trips and excursions. Moremi Game Reserve is just 90 minutes away and a days's game viewing is a popular option. It is also possible to take mokoro trips and guided walks in the Okavango Delta. Bird watching trips to nearby Lake Ngami are also offered. Maun, with ist shopping centres, is within easy reach, adn the lodge has its own curio shop where you can pick up gifts for family and friends at home.

0"A nice place to relax after the journey to Botswana. Staff were welcoming. The room was good although there was some work going on behind our chalet in the morning which intruded on our privacy a little. The food was good."
