Rra Dinare lies in the south eastern Okavango Delta in the Gomoti area. There are eight delightful, spacious safari tents including one family tent to house the guests. They've been thoughtfully designed and purposely positioned to look out over the Gomoti River floodplains, so you can keep any eye out for wildlife action from the comfort of your tent. This private concession is known for buffalo, elephant, lion and even leopard.
Inside, the bed takes centre stage, there are sliding doors to separate the bedroom and living area where you'll find comfy seating and a writing desk. Curtains draw across the mesh windows, and the front tent flaps open fully onto your private deck. You can sleep with the tent flaps up or down allowing the breezes to flow through while the mesh keeps the insects out and the sliding doors will deter any larger animals. To the rear of the tent is the en-suite with toilet, basins and there's the nice touch of an outdoor shower too.
Most of the tents are linked to the main areas by means of a raised wooden walkway. In the main areas which are open sided and covered by thatch, you'll find the bar area, a relaxing lounge and also the dining area. Dining also takes place on the deck, under the stars. The swimming pool and curio shop complete the camp, not forgetting the fire pit, where guests and guides gather of an evening to swap stories in front of the 'bush tv' as they enjoy a nightcap before bed.
Life isn't dull in this beautiful area of the Okavango Delta. Explore in open 4x4 vehicles on both day and night game drives. Water activities are also offered in the form of mokoro excursions though these can be subject to seasonal water levels. Game walks are a favourite past time for many, it gets you close to nature, it's a great way to learn more about the land, the wildlife and your guide.
