Ngoma Safari Lodge is in Chobe Forest Reserve near the western border of Chobe National Park, set on a ridge within sight of the river and valley. It's run in co-operation with the Chobe Enclave Conservation Trust (CECT) which promotes sustainable tourism to benefit the local community, and employs many people from local villages. While here you can take game drives in the national park, night drives in the forest reserve, explore by boat and on foot, and visit a local school. Accommodation is in chalets with thatched roofs, which beds facing picture windows for far reaching views. Rooms are kept cool by air conditioning and fans, have wooden floors and are decorated in soft neutral shades. Facilities include tea and coffee maker and minibar. Each chalet has a bathroom with a bath and two basins, a separate toilet and both indoor and outdoor showers. Two have daybeds which can be converted to provide accommdation for a third person. Every chalet has its own terrace and plunge pool with views of the river and floodplain.
The main area houses the lounge with easy chairs and coffee tables, bar and dining room, and there's a terrace for oudoor eating. The viewing deck is perfectly positioned by a waterhole where elephants and zebras can often be seen, and there's a further deck with a plunge pool. Central areas offer free Wi-Fi internet access.

Location: Ngoma Safari Lodge is by the Chobe River in Chobe Forest Reserve on the western edge of Chobe National Park. It is just under an hour’s drive from Kasane, the nearest airport.
Rooms: There are 8 suites. All are air conditioned, have a Nespresso machine and tea maker, minibar, safe, private terrace, plunge pool, en-suite bathroom with a bathtub, twin hand basins, a separate flush toilet, a shower and an outdoor shower. 2 of the suites have day beds that can sleep a 3rd person if needed. They are at varying distances from the central area, and there are staff to escort guests back to their tents after dark.
Activities: Up to 4 activities a day are included in your stay. Available activities include day and night game drives, boat cruises, guided walks, and village and school visits. Although primarily renowned for elephants, Chobe also has large populations of buffalo, zebra, giraffe and antelope.
Facilities: These comprise a lounge with a wood burning stove, dining room and bar. Outdoors there’s a dining terrace, a viewing deck overlooking a waterhole, and a plunge pool with a sundeck. The lodge offers a complimentary laundry service.
Dining: Meals can be eaten as a group or at individual tables.
Children: Children aged 10 years and upwards are welcome. They need to be kept under supervision at all times as the camp is unfenced.
Health: This is a malarial area.
Communication: There is free Wi-Fi internet access in the main lodge. There is reasonable mobile phone coverage.
"Luxurious lodge but a lot of road driving in the jeep to reach the park for a game drive. Pretty tiring."
