Motswiri Camp is set on the banks of the Selinda Spillway in the far western corner of the Selinda Reserve, which links the Okavango Delta to the Linyanti and Kwando marshes. This is an area of over 120,000 acres of pristine African bush, home to giraffe, zebra, roan antelope, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and many elephant. The birdlife here is abundant.
There are five large classic meru tents set on raised decks. Each tent has a large veranda overlooking the Selinda Spillway where elephants regularly come to bathe in the afternoons. The tents have en-suite bathrooms and are positioned well apart from each other. One of the tents has been specially designed to accommodate families. The main area of the camp has a comfortable sitting and dining areas. There is a sundeck and small plunge pool, ideal for cooling off in hot weather.
Motswiri has many walking and riding trails - the latter are for experienced horse riders only and must be booked in advance. Other activities include mokoro rides, canoeing and boating on the Spillway as well as game drives and night drives. Longer safaris may include fly camping at Little Motswiri.
Please be aware that if you are horseriding here then there is a strict weight limit of 15 stone / 95kg.

Rooms: There are 5 guest tents, spaced well apart and set on raised decks with timber frames and canvas walls. All have en-suite shower, twin hand basins and toilet. They have comfortable beds, a wardrobe and luggage rack, writing desk and large verandas.
Activities: Motswiri specialises in walking safaris. Guides will tailor the walk to guests' interests. Another speciality here is the riding safari. This is available to experienced riders only and must be booked in advance. The camp has its own stable of horses and matches them to each rider. Water-based activities are popular and include mokoro rides, powerboat rides and canoeing. Game drives are also offered. Fishing and swimming are also possible here. This is a good area for bird watching.
Facilities: The central area is raised on a wooden deck and includes a comfortable sitting area and a dining area, both of which overlook the Spillway. There is a selection of books for guests to read. A wide range of soft and alcoholic drinks is available. There is a sunbathing area and a plunge pool. A laundry service is offered.
Dining: Meals are taken at a communal table.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. One of the guest tents has been designed with families in mind. There are age restrictions for activities. For walking they must be 10 years and above and for riding the minimum age is 12.
Health: This is a malarial area.
Communication: There is no internet access and no mobile reception.
