La Isla de los Tucanes consists of 7 guest cottages and communal areas set in verdant gardens a short walk from the centre of Rurrenabaque. Known as the gateway to Madidi National Park, Rurrenabaque is primarily used as a stopover before or after a holiday in the Amazon.
Cottages have either 3 or 4 en-suite bedrooms, simply furnished and homely in style, plus a lounge with TV, fridge and safe, and ether a balcony or terrace. Interiors are air conditioned. The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast each morning to set you up for the day. Recreational facilities on site include a swimming pool, separate children's pool, relaxation areas with sunloungers and hammocks, a games room, children's playground and a gym. Bikes are available if you want to explore the neighbourhood or head into town.

Location: The hotel in Rurrenabaque, about a 10-minute walk from the centre of town. The airport is about a 20-minute drive from the hotel.
Rooms: There are 7 guest cottages, all with air conditioning. Each has either 2 or 3 en-suite bedrooms, living room with cable TV, minifridge and safe, and a bathroom, and sleep up to 4 and 6 people respectively. Furnishings are basic but comfortable. Cottages have either a terrace or balcony.
Activities: Rurrenabaque is generally used by travellers as a base from which to visit to visit the Amazon, so your time here is mostly spent relaxing at the hotel. Bicycles are available if you want to go out exploring.
Facilities: The hotel has a restaurant and a bar. There’s a games room with pool, table tennis and cable TV, and a gym. The hotel is set in pretty gardens and has an outdoor swimming pool, a separate children’s pool, and sunshades and loungers. There are hammocks strung up beneath a shaded terrace for guest use. The hotel offers a laundry service.
Dining: Jenecheru is open for breakfast, which is included in the room rate. It is open to the front and sides to admit the breeze. Other meals are available in town.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome.
