Llao Llao Resort, Golf-Spa is one of the most prestigious hotels in Bariloche. It's an impressive building capped with steep roofs reminiscent of Alpine architecture, typical of the Lake District region, and the extensive use of wood indoors coninues the chalet feel. The hotel is surrounded by 15 hectares of parkland and provides a broad range of recreational facilities.
Accommodation is divided between two wings and is made up of rooms, studios and suites with views of the gardens, mountains or lake. Standard faciilities include satellite TV, phone, Wi-Fi, minibar and en-suite bathroom. There's heating, too, to take the chill off in cooler months and you'll have a bathrobe and slippers. Connecting rooms are available for families. Studios and suites are larger and some have a balcony and jacuzzi. Moreno Lake Cabin is ideal for families or groups of friends wanting a degree of independence, with its two bedoorms, bathrooms, lounge and deck.
When it comes to dining you have a choice of no fewer than five restaurants between them serving Patagonian dishes and international cuisine. The Club House specialises in light lunches and snacks, and Llao LLao tea at the Winter Garden is a speciality of the hotel served within sight of the floral gardens and sparkling Nahuel Huapi Lake. You can socialise with other guests in the lobby and Moreno bars, the latter with lovely lake views.
Activities offered at the hotel, some of which are seasonal, include mountain biking, trekking, archery, tennis, kayaking, windsurfing and standup paddleboarding. The grounds contain an 18-hole golf course,a driving range and two putting greens bcked up by a pro shop. There is a ski centre and school with some 70 instructors and private skiing and snowboarding lessons. There are opportunities for yoga, pilates, zumba, tango and painting with classes and lessons available, as well as a gym. The spa offers signature facial programmes and body treatments to promote health and well-being, and there's a sauna, jacuzzi and heated indoor-outdoor swimming pool.
The hotel welcomes families and Nahuelito's Club provides supervised activities for children between the ages of three and ten years.

Location: The hotel is in 15 hectares of private grounds within Nahuel Huapi National Park, between the Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes. It is 25kms from the town of Bariloche. The nearest airport is San Carlos de Bariloche Airport 35kms away.
Rooms: The hotel has two wings: Bustillo and Moreno. The former has 162 rooms, 11 studios and 12 suites overlooking the Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes. Rooms are subdivided into standard (garden view and 22sqm), lake view (22-27sqm), mountain view (22-27sqm) and superior lake view (23-28sqm). All have satellite TV, phone, Wi-Fi, heating, minibar, safe, hair dyer and en-suite bathroom with toiletries. There are some interconnecting rooms. Studios are larger occupying 40sqm, have similar facilities and a lake view. There are standard (48sqm), lake (48sqm), superior lake (50sqm) and presidential suites (160sqm), all with a lounge as well as bedroom and bathroom. The presidential suite has a large living room, dining room, small kitchen, balcony, dressing room and bathroom with a double jacuzzi and Scottish shower. The Moreno wing was added in 2007, contains 43 deluxe studios (40-43sqm) and suites (63sqm), master suites (96sqm) and royal suites (130sqm) and is linked to the main wing by a bridge. Studios have an open plan sleeping-living area, a balcony and bathroom with a jacuzzi. Suites also have an open fire. Master suites have a separate living room with an open fire, and royal suites have a kitchenette, dressing room, doble jacuzzi and sauna. Moreno studios and suites have the same facilities as rooms in the Bustillo wing plus air conditioning and all have lake views. Additional accommodation is available in Moreno lake cabin which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge with a fireplace and a private deck.
Activities: Winter (mid-June to Mid-September) offers skiing opportunities. Autumn (mid-march to Mid-June) and spring (mid-September to mid-December) are great times to enjoy treks in the hotel’s woodlands, and in summer (mid-December to mid-March) you can go boating and fishing, as well as trekking. Other activities include mountain biking and tennis. Archery, abseiling, kayaking, windsurfing and SUP are offered, too, with instructors available to provide guidance and tuition. Other activities can be arranged though the in-house agency and include lake cruises, private fishing trips, horse riding, guided tours, 4x4 tours and bird watching. These are payable locally. There is a wide range of indoor activities such as yoga, pilates, aerobics, tango lessons and gym sessions.
Facilities: The hotel grounds include an 18-hole golf course and a marina offering lake-based activities. The spa offers beauty treatments, massages, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, special two, four and six days programmes and spa treatments designed for children. The health club facilities include heated indoor-outdoor pools, a sauna. jacuzzi and gym. In winter the hospitality lounge at the foot of Mt Catedral is the main ski base where you can book passes and lessons, hire equipment and enjoy food and drink. The ski school has some 70 instructors. Private skiing and snowboarding lessons can be arranged. The games room has table tennis, pool and table football facilities.
Dining: Llao Llao has five restaurants serving a range of cuisines. Patagonia Restaurant provides popular international dishes featuring local produce. Asador Criollo specialises in grilled lamb and vegetables. The Winter Garden overlooks the gardens and lake and is used for lunches and afternoon tea, as is the Club House which serves sweet and savoury snacks. Llao Llao ballroom is the venue for breakfast, a choice of homemade breads, croissants, jams, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, cold meats and omelettes. There are two bars, one in the lobby and the other overlooking Moreno Lake, the latter serving snacks as well as drinks.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Nahuelito’s Club is for three to ten year olds with activities specifically designed for all children, such organised swimming and land-based games, canoeing, mountain biking and indoor games. The spa has a range of treatments designed for youngsters between six and 17 years of age.
Health: This is not a malarial area.
