Didn't spend a lot of time here, and maybe should have done earlier in the trip. Also it was the end of ramadan, so probably bit quieter than usual.

Two nights and three days in Zanzibar was fantastic. All arrangements made with Tribes went off without a hitch. The local staff were very good, met us on arrival and took us back to the airport, and we happily used them for a town tour and a spice tour which were both excellent.

We nearly went home without spending time in Stone Town and that would have been a mistake. With its World Heritage status richly deserved and the slow but steady progress being made in refurbishment it is becoming a 'don't miss' destination.
