Travel Talks

Roughly once a month, Tribes holds "Travel Talks" about a specific country or region. The talks are free but have limited space. They are open to anyone who wants to come.

One of our specialists or directors will present a slidehow showing the highlights and even some of the lesser know areas of the destination.  The kind of things you can find out about are:

1. The best time to go
2. What lodges might be right for you
3. What combines well in the time you have allotted
4. What you really shouldn't miss

If the slideshow and talk don't answer your specific questions, our expert staff will be on hand to help you either before or after the talk.

 

TIMING

Come and join us at 7pm on a Friday evening for a talk/slideshow.  Each talk focuses on a specific destination or topic (see schedule below).

There is no charge for the event, but any donations are welcome for The Tribes Foundation, our registered charity which helps small grassroots projects worldwide. Due to limited spaces, you need to book for each event, so please click below to register your booking.

JORDAN:  Wilderness, history, culture and fun

Guy Marks, Tribes director, will show you the highlights and lesser-known aspects of this fascinating country.
From the desert of Wadi Rum to the waters of the Dead Sea, not forgetting the incredible rose red city of Petra, Jordan is a fabulous place to visit and only 4½ hours flight away.

KENYA:  Not just big cats and beaches!

Amanda Marks, Tribes director, and Julie Croucher, Africa sales manager, will take you on a journey through Kenya.  From the wildlife of the Masai Mara , the tribal cultures of the Laikipia plateau, on to the Rift Valley Lakes and out to the Indian Ocean beaches.  Kenya really has some fabulous experiences to offer travellers.
