March
Some of the January and February options are still open to you, plus this is a good time to watch wildlife in India, and the weather in Lesotho makes this a lovely country to visit at this time.

- Zebra migration in Savuti and the Makgadikgadi Pans.
- The green season is excellent for birding.
- Some lodges offer great rates.
- Thousands of flamingos usually arrive in this month.

- Rio Carnival is from the Friday before Shrove Tuesday to Ash Wednesday (The date moves each year but is between Feb 3 and March 9).

- Good month to climb Cotopaxi.

- One of the best month’s for diving (clear waters).
- This is the height of the hot season (max temp about 30°c).
- Marine Iguanas nest on Fernandina.

This is a generally good month for wildlife in India. Here are some ideas.
- Corbett (elephants and tigers)
- Kanha and Bandhavgargh (tigers and birds)
- Nanda Devi
- Kaziranga ( rhinos)
- Periyar (elephants, wild dog, bison)
- Gir (lions)
- Keoladeo NP (birds)
- Ranthambore NP (birds)

- Good time for visiting Lesotho (warm, with little rain).

- Walks in the Saghro region.

- Excellent month for trekking, flowers, and wildlife viewing.
- One of the best month's for birding due to the cross-over between winter and summer migrants.

- No Inca trail treks. This is the wet season, and trekking at this time can cause damage to the trails, and does not allow the trail to recover.

- The herds of the annual migration are in southern Serengeti, so this is a good month to visit, though the rains may begin in late March.
