Some of the lodges and hotels we work with occasionally have special offers and promotions. We are delighted to flag these up to you so you can take advantage of these offers.

This is also the page where we will keep you informed of any particularly well-priced trips and services.

28th October 2008: The US dollar is the main currency that the travel industry works in.  Obviously at the moment, the dollar is very strong in comparison to the pound and this is making holiday prices more expensive than previously for UK residents.  One consideration for UK travellers wanting to go on safari is to think about South Africa. The South African Rand is currently very good value for British travellers.

BOTSWANA OFFERS

1. 

   Five Rivers Safari

   Five excellent safari companies have joined forces to offer and choice of eight different lodges for an exceptional green season special offer. These lodges  include:

   • Deception Valley Lodge in the Kalahari
   • Xakanaxa Camp in Moremi
   • Kwara in the Okavango
   • Lagoon camp further north in Okavango (Lebala and Little Kwara are also available at a supplement)
   • Susuwe Island in the Caprivi Strip (Namibia)

   With Tribes' help you can mix and match these lodges to make the green season itinerary of your choice at a superb daily rate, and with no single supplement.

   The green season price from 1st December 08 to 30th April 09 is £200 pp per night for the accommodation (full board with all activities).

2. 

   Wilderness Safari Camps

   Book for 7 nights in Wilderness Safari camps and get an extra night free! This applies across the board to all camps in all countries, with the exception of Abu, Mombo, North Island and Skeleton Coast Camp.

   The 7 nights must be in one country. Your free night must be used in one of the camps already booked.

   Available for people booking before the end of February 2009 and travelling between 01 Dec 2008 - end June 2009 and 01 - 30 Nov 2009. (With regards to Zambia, this applies from 01 Dec 2008 - 31 July 2009 and 01 Sept - 30 Nov 2009.)

3. 

   Sanctuary Retreats

   Spend two nights at either Baines, Stanley's or Chief's Camp, then 3 nights at Chobe Chilwero, and get the third night at Chobe Chilwero FREE.

   This offer is available for stays between 15th January and 31st March 2009.

   And Beyond lodges (formerly CC Africa)

   And Beyond, who recently changed their name from CC Africa, are offering free nights at their lodges in Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana and Victoria Falls.

   Stay longer special:  This complimentary night offer at Nomad camps applies to the lowest rate property and does not include park fees.
