The home was far less basic than we had been told. The bed had a mattress and there was a flush lavatory. With or without these facilities the experience was what mattered. The 4 year old son in my family was called Beckham. I've still not recovered from that and his father said that any second son would be called Peres!
We thoroughly enjoyed this however, on initial arrival I was shocked at the very basic facilities. We were informed at the time of booking it was very basic but I guess I should have checked out what "very basic" actually meant. This did not detract from the overall experience which was excellent.
The stay on the island on Titicaca was fantastic, even life-changing. We were given the option of how rustic we wanted it to be and I think as long as customers are informed what this might entail they will be happy.
