    3. A different place to Amboseli with a more rustic feel but still a very pleasant place to stay. The food again was very good. The tented lodge was very comfortable and well maintained throughout and nicely set back into the surroundings. Again it was nice to rest and watch the myriad forms of wildlife that made their home in the camp with the Colobus troop a particular highlight. The jungle setting made some nights a bit lively in terms of the wildlife getting a bit raucous but this only added to the atmosphere. Service was excellent with the waiter anticipating your requests after a couple of days and the camp being happy to change circumstances to suit the itinerary of the holiday. Only slight downside was the distance from the lodgings to the reserve although this was a minor problem and there was still plenty to see on the way to the gate.

    3. Tents were comfortable, clean and well-equipped and area felt very safe. Our 5 family tents were in an open area with plenty of room to play without disturbing other people. Buffet restaurant and service good with plenty of variety and enormous packed breakfast or lunch on request. I had chosen this because of advertised "children's clubs". These were ad hoc and pretty low key - a smallish "assault course", a dusty museum of animal artefacts and a part-built masai hut.We waited an hour for the "animator" to turn up - a pleasant and helpful young Maasai man - but the older ones (10-14) rejected as "boring" (although next day they did get enthusiastic about making bows and arrows) and a bit above our younger ones, though enjoyed spontaneous play on assault course. Other extra activities (night drive, nature walk, photographic safari) were expensive and didn't do. Had feared that 3 nights was not enough but infact just right as unless very enthusiastic, 2 1/2 days of game drive (with fantastic viewings except leopard) was enough of long bumpy drives. Siana Springs was 1/2 hour drive from park gate on bumpy roads and very little seen outside park gates (except Maasai herds and villages)

    3. A permanent tented camp 30 minutes from the masai mara with plenty of open space, resident bush buck, mongoose, cute bush baby's and noisy tree hyraxes - take your ear plugs! Our driver was excellent, spending hours finding the animals we wanted to see and full of information - we spent days looking for leopard and finally saw three! We spent four days here which meant we had variety of different game drives including lunch and breakfast in the bush which was rather special. The food was great, but there was far too much of it for us! We'd like to see less plastic bottles used, a water purifier and jugs would be far better. The extras, nature walk and masai village unfortunately were not worth the money as they felt lacklustre and forced. We would still recomend the camp highly.
