    5. Overall level of satisfaction

      • Excellent

      Excellent

    6. We gave you a tough brief, with requirements for specific places and dates and very little notice to get it all organised. You did brilliantly to put it all together and the whole trip was a delight - transfers worked like clockwork, accommodation met or exceeded expectations and there wasn't a single problem.
    7. Tribes service

    8. Julie was excellent. The lower rating is merely because of the communication breakdown after my initial enquiry.
    9. Expectations

    10. Transfers, accommodation and all arrangements were spot-on and there were no hitches.
    11. Guides

    12. We had a guide and a driver in Ruaha. Both were good, but they could have been saved us from (very nasty) tsetse fly bites as we drove from the airport to the camp if they had explained the problem and advised us to use the spray carried in the vehicle.

From Arusha through to the Serengeti we had a driver/guide who was very good - he looked after us well, was an excellent driver and gave us some great game-viewing.

    14. All camps employed local people, our guides were local, some of the camps were powered by solar energy and measures were in place everywhere to conserve water. Presumably the wildlife would benefit from our park fees.
    15. Other comments

    16. We enjoyed the flights on Coastal and the personalised service of their staff. The transfer to the international terminal in Dar for our Emirates flight on arrival from Zanzibar was particularly efficient.

    3. Excellent friendly personal service, good tented rooms with enclosed bathroom areas, well-located for the migration, good food. Seating for meals was on one big table which made it easy to mix with fellow guests, which we liked. The hot towels on our arrival were most welcome.

    3. Wonderful setting by the lake, beautiful grounds (with monkeys, striped hyenas, dik-diks and more), lovely tented rooms, tastefully furnished with good ensuite facilities at the back and running water. Hospitable and welcoming owners who spent time with their guests, pleasant and efficient service and good food.

    3. Excellent friendly personal service, good tented rooms with bathroom areas and solar-powered hot running water. No electricity in the tents, but good arrangements for recharging batteries in the office and ample lanterns lit at night. Seating for evening meals was dinner-party style with the camp manager hosting the one big table, lit only by candles. This really added to the experience for us. An extra nice touch was the way we were welcomed back from each game drive with a glass of fruit juice.

    3. A lovely setting and beautiful dining and sitting areas. The rooms, permanent and brick-built, were 'average' and the showers good. It was a bigger and less personal hotel than the other lodges we stayed in. There was no welcome and no effort by the management to meet guests. However food and service was good, and if we had not been spoilt elsewhere, we may have rated it more highly.

    3. Ruaha - beautiful and remote (as billed), very green with lovely flowers, butterflies and birds, plenty of animals to see, the highlight was a cheetah and her cub with a kill.
Ksima Ngeda - a great experience to go out on an early morning hunt with 3 Hadsa Tribesmen
Ngorogoro Highlands / Lake Ndutu / Serengeti - The herds of zebra and the thousands of wildebeeste with their newly-born calves, spreading as far as the eye could see across the plains, was amazing. We were also thrilled with the plentiful sightings of lions at close quarters.
