    16. Guides: Both naturalists were fantastic and deserve praise for their commitment to their jobs.
      The drivers were all good and Mr Singh in Delhi was fantastic and took us to his own Sikh temple.
      The tour guides were the only real exception as whilst they were knowledgeable we felt that they rushed our tours in Delhi & Agra and just wanted commission from the shopping they hoped we would do.

      Tribes reply: The isssue of guides taking you to shops to earn a little extra commission is a problem the world over, but is especially bad in India. Unfortunately this element of hassle is unavoidable in India and I hope it did not detract too much from your overall positive experience of the country and its people.

    19. We really felt that the Tree House Hideaway resort in Bandhavgarh was living up to environmental expectations and promoting the Travel Operators for Tigers (TOFT) code. They were sympathetic to the local environment and the naturalist was fantastic. He really enhanced our understanding of Tigers and their environment.

    20. Other comments

    21. The trip was amazing with only one exception. We had a bad experience in Agra with our train delayed for 9 hours the local rep tried to harass us into paying cash for an additional overnight hotel stay so he could get the commission. As experienced travellers we refused although he tried lots of tricks (the hotel doesn't except cards, I'll drive you to the cash point etc.)
      I was happy to pay for an additional room but not to pay in cash in this situation. My concern is that other people may feel pressurised into paying cash when stuck and stressed.
      However, this incident in no way reflects how wonderfully friendly and helpful the majority of people were that we met on our travels .

    4. The Tree House Hideway in Bandhavgarh was exceptional in both accommodation and service. We are definitely planning a return trip to the Tree House Hideaway there is nothing to compare it to for excellence.

    4. The drivers were all good and all the drivers who waited for us during the train delays due to the Delhi fog were great.
