    16. Maria and Milly as the representatives in Cusco, Eddyson our guide for the half-day tour, and Alfonso our patient and careful (is he really Peruvian?!) driver were all brilliant. As for the trek, Jésus was just the best guide we could have hoped for - knowledgeable, sensitive to our well-being at altitude and irrepressibly cheerful. "Water water - vamos!"

    19. It was both impressive and humbling how much attention is given to improving the lot of the local people who staff the lodges, lug the party's kit around, and provide points of interest along the way.

    21. Totally and utterly brilliant - it's hard to see how the next "holiday of a lifetime" could ever cap this! I do hope that these is a way of letting those who made this such a wonderful experience for us know just how much we appreciated their efforts and friendship.

    4. Only wish we'd taken an extra day here too in order to have had a chance to explore their Orchid Garden and nature trail.

    4. Simply amazing - so good that we wanted to do it all over again. The accommodation was perfectly suited to the needs of tired trekkers, and our traveling chefs conjured up wonders at every mealtime, wherever we were.
