    6. We picked Mozambique because we wish to go scuba diving and also dive/swim with whalesharks. We had great fun doing this and achieving our holiday goal.

    8. We helped in picking Cafe No Mar which was an enjoyable stay given the region and what we were going on holiday for. All flights and transfers worked as plan. We were advised to take us dollars when in actual fact the local currency was mostly used with SA Rand also widely accepted. We did find outlets who wouldn't take US Dollars.

    10. We had good experiences at the 2 dive shops - Tofo Scuba and Barra Scuba. Accommodation was excellent given the 2 levels of quality, and all transfers / flights were on time. The weather was warm although not humid with some days being a little cloudy. Safety was great in the region, even when there were riots in the capital when we were in mozambique.

    13. Wildlife for us was related to the sea which they look after very well. The local area is very poor, and fishing and tourism are the only areas of employment. However we did find the locals were very friendly and some could speak english very well.

    15. Local currency is required.
Cafe No Mar was a small well run accommodation, with clean rooms. There was no flash furniture, but we experienced excellent fresh breakfasts sitting on a balcony over looking the sea watching whales breaching in the distance. They arranged for us to go to different eating places in Tofo town which we enjoyed and they also arranged the transport for us. We decided to use Tofo Scuba and the owners of Cafe No Mar managed to arrange a 15% discount for us which was very useful. Younger people and honeymoom couples were staying at the accommodation.

Flamingo bay was much more up market, with large well completed rooms on stilts. The staff was very friendly and it wasn't peak season since half the rooms were occupied. One has to travel by staff driven golf carts from the main dinner/reception area to the rooms, although at times, it was much nicer to walk along the wooden walkways. You have to have your food at hotel since it is not that close to other eating places or the Tofo Town. Food on the whole was good. They also made some great cocktails.
