    6. We are delighted to report that our 'holiday of a lifetime' to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary was a truly amazing experience.

    8. Hannah advised us on perfect resort and hotel choices. We were provided with full and detailed information before departure. It was very useful to have all details in a personalised booklet, complete with photographs. Everything was just as described.

    10. It was perfect to have an overnight stay in Dar es Salaam to recover from a long flight from the UK and to enable us to fully enjoy our safari experience in Ruaha National Park. We particularly enjoyed the Southern Sun Hotel. The safari experience at Mwagusi Camp was amazing. The staff are cheerful, polite and fully attentive to your every need. Standards are high in every respect and the staff have ongoing training. Their wildlife knowledge and use of English is worthy of special mention. Our 5 night stay enabled us to see 22 types of animal in addition to hundreds of birds. A fantastic experience we will never forget!

    12. We found all local Tanzanian and Zanzibarian people to be friendly, charming and helpful. Their use of English language is excellent and they are very happy to share aspects of their culture. Guides and drivers were attentive and responsive to our every need. We were totally impressed with this level of service and wish we could say it was as good in the UK!
    13. Social & Environmental Responsibility

    14. All local people, guides and drivers are proud and respectful of their environment. By UK standards Tanzania and Zanzibar are underdeveloped countries but their use of resources and willingness to co-operate and share with one another suggest robust and thriving communities. Tourism clearly benefits their community and every resort/hotel we visited was staffed mostly by local people, who prove themselves to be willing and hardworking and keen to provide a very positive experience of their beautiful country.
    15. Other comments

    16. We would recommend you have plenty of local currency or US dollars in low denominations for tips (of which there are many). Its not easy accessing money when on safari or in Zanzibar hotel locations so go prepared as you will want to appropriately tip the many helpful local people.

    3. A very well organised camp which retains a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for an amazing safari experience. Service is superb - from the moment you arrive you feel SO well looked after! Staff are very well trained and fully attentive. Staying in the beautiful bandas allows you to be close to nature and fully experience the atmosphere. The food is an excellent mix of local and western dishes. It is so varied and superbly presented - you feel in awe of the chef and small catering team who manage to produce such amazing dishes (many served in magical outdoor locations) when the nearest town is over 3 hours away! Staff tailor the game drive experience to your wishes where possible and we were able to see 22 types of animal on our 5 night stay. Can only give massive praise to Mwagusi, it was a great place to enjoy our 25th wedding anniversary and the staff even made us a cake and cooked us a special meal!

    3. Beautiful location, overlooking the Indian ocean. The complex is attractive and very well cared for by staff from the local community. The rooms are well equipped and service is superb. The size of bed is amazing and a real treat! Staff are friendly and attentive and do everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. A good variety of high quality meals are provided. Regular and varied entertainment whilst eating in the evening and beyond would further enhance this lovely hotel.

    3. A well resourced and comfortable hotel but we found it a bit strange to have a room away from the main complex. Staff were helpful and friendly and some are from the Masaai tribe, which helps to create an authentic experience. We enjoyed using the gym and having entertainment whilst eating in the restaurant.

    3. Very interesting and attractive ex-sultan's palace. The amount and steepness of the steps to access the rooms and rooftop restaurant, in particular, is foreboding! The room was equipped with air conditioning but the bed was uncomfortable and broke during the night! We had a good quality evening meal but choices were limited (unable to supply some of the menu) and breakfast was adequate. Great location for exploring Stonetown but expect to get lost many, many times!!

    3. Very good trips to Jozani Forest to see the Red Colobus Monkeys and to the Spice Farm. Guides and taxi transfers are excellent. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and ensure you have a truly authentic experience.
The Nungwi Village tour is very worthwhile. We had an excellent guide, Matemwe who lived in the village and enjoyed showing us the local culture and explaining in depth about their amazing robust and thriving community. We met the headteacher and teachers of the local school, who do a good job with very limited resources. Exercise books and pens we bought at the local supermarket were gratefully received as rarely do the pupils have their 'own' book to use!

    3. Very good. Don't always run to time but the 'Pole, pole' attitude of locals is refreshing! The views from the small aircraft are amazing but I would recommend travel sickness precautions for anyone who, like me feels the bumps - I was dreadfully sick the first time without!

Don't even think about missing this!

    3. Brilliant in every respect. Liberating to feel you don't have to dress up or wear make up! To see so many animals at such close proximity is an experience to be remembered for a lifetime. Ruaha National Park has varied terrain which makes it attractive and interesting and we were lucky enough to see 22 types of animal. Many folk we spoke to had visited other safari parks and said they were crowded with jeeps and tourists. Ruaha is not - the most jeeps we ever saw viewing the animals together is 5.
